The NSW Secondary Principals' Council is disappointed by the Murdoch Press in distracting public discourse regarding the focus of the film Gayby Baby. The film explores narratives around young people with same sex parents. The media attack facilitated  ill-informed discussion in the public domain.

This highly acclaimed film shares the stories of children raised in same-sex families. Public education values embrace inclusion and diversity.

As educators we have a responsibility and pride in  working with students to view the world through an understanding of diversity, respect, value and inclusivity. NSW schools accept and embrace the wider community in its entirety. We will progressively promote the acceptance of diversity within our school communities.
